TERRANCE WELLMAKER
Artist. Creator. Visionary.
Terrance Wellmaker is an artist, filmmaker and visual storyteller from Belleville, IL. Originally from Brooklyn, IL, he was born in the year 1998 into a house with four other children at the turn of the century but right at the peak of 90s pop culture. He graduated from Belleville West High School in 2016. In 2023, he graduated from the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville with a bachelor's degree in art and design and a minor in creative writing. He is an artist highly influenced and inspired by films, comics and TV shows that most reflect his experience growing up in America as a light skin black man. As a child, Terrance would spend entire days drawing characters he loved and creating comic books out of them with stories he wrote about famous properties and characters from the likes of Marvel, DC Comics and the Power Rangers. He is currently working on an original comic book, “The Equinox”, a story where a boy finds a suit that allows him to time travel!

"Hell and Back" Original Comic Book
Read my first original comic book below, "Hell and Back", in a which a man wakes up on Christmas Eve unbeknownst to the ongoing apocalypse! This comic book was made using digital photography and graphic design.
This is The Alternate, an extraordinary suit that thrusts its wearer through time and space using the power of the Equinox, a universal energy part and parcel to existence. This is the version of the Alternate that Tyreek will wear.
THE EQUINOX
Using the same production method as "Hell and Back", utilizing photography and digital painting, "The Equinox" is an original story that follows a young man named Tyreek Moore. Whilst going through a quarter life crisis, Reek is given a suit known as The Alternate that allows him to travel through both time and space. Upon learning of the suit's origin, Reek is faced with the overbearing responsibility of assuming his role as a protector of time for all time. But first, Reek must overcome what's inside himself.
The start of much bigger things to come, "The Equinox" stars Terrance Wellmaker as Tyreek Moore, The Alternate.
Issue#1 of the time-spanning epic, "It's a Wonderful Life, Pt. 1", focuses on mental health and seeking help.
"When the self-proclaimed Equinox attacks the TimeSpace, the place of congregation for all wearers of the Alternate, time-jumping avatars, one Alternate enacts a plan to save all of existence."

BLADE: THE VAMPIRE SLAYER ANIMATED PITCH TRAILER
This is the first trailer for my first animated movie: Blade: The Vampire Slayer. Originally intended to be a pitch for the live action Marvel Studio's Blade film. The latter of which releases on November 3rd, 2023 and is being directed by Bassam Tariq. This version of the film will explore the life of Eric Brooks and how he became the feared and fearless vampire slayer known as Blade.
This film will be hand drawn entirely and is currently slated for release Fall 2023.

MIDNIGHT SONS
"S1E1: 'Who Runs the Night?"
This is an early scene that was animated back in 2020 from my reimagination of the Marvel Comics team The Midnight Sons. A team unlike The Avengers that deal with the things that go bump in the night. This is the culmination of multiple characters and stories that will collide, and what I would do if he were ever blessed to lead the ship of the MCU into horror and the supernatural. Beginning with "Blade: The Vampire Slayer", this story would see Blade, Moon Knight, Frank Castle, the Unstoppable Ghost Rider and others as they are forced to come together to stop a demonic foe after its unleashed from a hellish prison from transforming the entire world forever.
While the films leading up to this, of which will be revealed soon, will be produced using hand-drawn animation, Midnight Sons will be produced using stop motion animation. It is another way for me to flex a visual storytelling muscle!
Midnight Sons currently does not have a release date set.
POWER RANGERS FROM SPACE SCREENPLAY SAMPLE

Below you will find a 5-page sample from a screenplay I wrote for a shared Power Rangers universe very similar to the likes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the opening scene to the first film in the universe, "Power Rangers from Space", that finds a young Andros in the midst of his planet's destruction at the hands of the Dark Fortress. While Netflix has the license to the show/film rights, I believe that this is the key to reinvigorating the Power Rangers brand and making it a franchise digestible for all audiences and something engaging enough to be among the same ranks as the aforementioned MCU. As a die hard fan of the Power Rangers franchise, this universe's arc is adapting "Countdown to Destruction": a "Power Rangers In Space" episode that is considered by many to be if not one of the greatest but one of the most important Power Rangers episodes to date. I adapted this 2-episode arc in a way that will bring together multiple teams of Power Rangers across time and space from the Saban era through interconnected yet self-standing films and TV shows. All of which will culminate into them all joining forces to stop the return of the Dark Specter and the second coming of the Mighty Lord Zedd.
LINK
"Link" is an original story I wrote, and it will be my second horror comic. The story blends two major horror movie tropes: serial killers and haunted houses. It blends them in a way that pays homage to many films of the 70s, 80s and 90s including Scream, Final Destination and Halloween. It will feature a lengthy main cast of 10 and is currently being developed. Casting/model information is available at the bottom of this page.
